Enjoying trying to add something to the piece of writing that I am working with instead of just portraying exactly what the text says. I think Its important to try to add something to the piece of text, be it editorial or for a book so that the image and text work together to give the viewer/reader a fuller experience. Im also enjoying breaking habits in my work concerning scale of main characters etc.
On another note if you are in london tomorow why dont you come along to PENCIL POWER at NEW GALLERY LONDON from 6 till 8, a fundraiser for the disaster in Japan supported by OVO (the camberwell illustration show 2011). There will be drawing tasks, drinks, good music and a free screen-print for the first 15 people to show up.
