Scale by Will Self.

Final project of the year, first drawing. The project is to illustrate the short story, Scale. In the story a writer, in the depths of morphine addiction, loses his sense of scale. He lives next to a model village that regularly crops up in his dreams and is constantly refered to when he tells the reader about his loss of scale. The writers books all focus on roads and driving and the way the author has used roads and driving as metaphors for life creates a story that is incredibly interesting to consider illustrating. i am really enjoying this project.
